The Principal of Home Counties is Mike Lawson who has in excess of 34 years in the Mortgage Industry. Mike originally joined Nationwide Building Society in 1977 as a Trainee Manager. Following this he joined Cheltenham & Gloucester Building Society as Assistant Manager, Branch Manager and then Regional Manager retiring in 2003 after 25 years service. Retiring was never really a realistic option so Mike formed Home Counties in 2004 to utilise his experience in the Industry and to offer mortgage advice to homeowners and first time buyers alike. Outside work Mike is keen on music, most sports and is a Season Ticket holder at Wycombe Wanderers.
